I carry the burden of the being the baby of my family. I'm one out of three my brother who would pick on me cause I'm the youngest one, also the darkest too. I get the hand me down cause I'm the smallest of the three the torn up pants, the shirts with the food stains on the chest. The shoes with the worn down sole where your feet touching the black asphalt, my socks getting wet when its rains. The cellphone that i got when i started high school it was a small white flip phone from T-Mobile it was beat up from my middle brother Able dropping it. i also carry the expectations of my family cause I'm the youngest. My dad and my always grinding me about the doing the same mistakes as my two older brothers. Like putting rims and a nice sound system in a car then going to work and finding out that your car goes missing for few days then show up on crates instead of wheels. Also buying a used truck near the ocean for the price he got screw him over. getting engagement to his high school sweet heart at the age of 20 or 19 and ending in them break off the engagement a year or two later. Also the expectations of going to college and doing something of my life. my dad wanting me to be a vet but i want to be an agriculture teacher i like seeing the look on kids faces when they see farm animals for the first time. But this burden has somewhat happy ending I'm the tallest one in the family but I'm still the darkest. i got a job and i can buy my own cloths when ever I want but my middle brother bought me a smart phone the Galaxy S buy one get one free deal. I got a new truck Chevy Silverado but i cant do anything for a year to it so that kinda sucks but no worries its all good. I'm going to college so we'll see where that leads up to hopefully to Cal Poly Pomona someday.
We all get expected to do things we don't really want to do, you seem like you know to follow your dreams and not others. Keep on going for your dreams don't let anyone interfere with them. Keep up the great work and just believe in yourself because you can do it! :)
ReplyDeleteI like how u described your story with great detail. It makes the reader feel like if he was walking in your shoes. Keep up the work and follow your dreams, do not let anybody interfere with desired goals.
